Ready to Run!

Hey guys! Been a few weeks since a last post, yet again! But in the past few weeks I’ve finished year one of university and moved back home with a lot of hours at work. Also been nice to have a wee bit of a break.

Today I’m posting a video that shows an creative and influencing advertising campaign from sports giants, Adidas.

Adidas France have started a campaign to raise the profile of running between 14-19 year olds in the country. Youngsters in France are not running as much as other countries, with Adidas noticing this and attempting to increase the popularity of a good old jog!

The Climacool range from Adidas (footwear) is focused on running, and performance activity. Adidas have adopted a clever campaign to increase the demand for their shoes between 14-19 year olds. Basically, youngsters that try on any of the climacool range trainers in any Adidas store in France, could be kidnapped and dropped off at a secret location.

Sound strange?! Not to worry, the youngsters are given headphones and directions through the headphones narrated by Judo world champion Teddy Riner. The instructions are given to complete a variety of tasks, whether it be to drop off a Pizza or to find a picture of a man.

The result of the video? A 500% increase in climacools tried throughout the country!

I want MyPumas, and Quick!

Hello Guys, a new post. This time on a very interesting fashion trend that is sure to venture out!

Found this piece today on the Internet and loved it. Having recently bought a pair of Puma Baskets, the advert struck particular relevance to me!

Puma have decided to offer an exceptional promotion to its customers in Mexico. The promotional campaign titled “The Worlds Fastest Purchase” is what they have decided to do, literally offer the chance to make a fast purchase and offer great savings in the process!

The whole process is explained in words here from Digital Buzz.

“As shoppers entered the store they were prompted to push a big red button that started a timer on their shopping experience. Once pressed customers were issued with a ticket that time stamped the beginning of their shopping challenge. At the cash register, shoes in hand, they hit a second button and a ticket with a “stop” time was issued. The challenge earned the shoppers a varying level of discount from 5% off (for completing the shop in 10 minutes) to 20% off (for completing the shop in 3 minutes).”

How class is that? The quicker you buy your trainers or clothes, the cheaper you get it. Makes customers think twice about hanging around shops just browsing for hours upon end (working in retail, this is irritating!).

The campaign “The Worlds Fastest Purchase” is even more significant through the celebrity endorsement of Usain Bolt, the fastest man on the planet. So here it is guys, hope you enjoy it. Note that this could soon be used by other brands too as a way of promoting their products!

Absolutely Drenched!

Recieved some positive feedback about the last post about 123 People, and heard a few of the readers who hadn’t tried it, gave it a go themselves!

Today, another advert that caught my eye recently, the Drench advert.

The water company have pulled of another successful advert that is fun, entertaining and most certainly to the point. The “Rhythm Is a Dancer” advert from couple years back was a favorite of mine, but I would say this one eclipses it for comedy value.

30 seconds long – not too draining and enough time to get the message across!

The advert is viewed as undercover scenes behind Drench headquarters about finding new ways to keep the public hydrated. A brilliant shot then lines up 5 different humans, all of different demographics and douses them with water from a hose pipe at an unbelievable force, making them fall to the ground from the impact!

The advert carries on with office workers being absolutely pounded with Drench juice that they have out through their computer monitors, and also through the phone.

The ad carries on “drench“ing people in various ways, but all with the same comedy effect and most certainly keeping them hydrated. Here you go guys, have a browse at this..

30 Seconds to Mars, Literally.

Quick little post about a pretty decent advert at the moment. Mars have released a 30 second advert (coincidence? Too the band, 30 seconds to mars), with a football edge to it.

Pretty self explanatory when viewing, but England are playing a football match against Holland, in a penalty shoot out. The keeper goes off injured and a fan (eating a the famous chocolate bar), pulls of his jacket and jumps in between the sticks for England in the shoot out.

Anyway, long story short the man saves a Robin Van Persie penalty, and another one with the famous Rene Higuita acrobatic save being replayed! Scott Parker, Glen Johnson and Theo Walcott make appearances in the ad too!

Just a whitty ad, that as a football fan is quite enjoyable and not draining (Ocean Finance sort of thing). Here it is for you lovely lot, enjoy.
